Dayforce applications sent for you, account or not
Dayforce splits the application into steps and sometimes puts an account choice in front of them. Here is what each step asks.
- Account
- Most postings offer "Apply without an Account". A few employers require a Dayforce ID.
- Application steps
- Several short steps
- Who uses it
- Employers in the US, Canada and the UK, from retail, coffee and hotel chains to manufacturers, insurers and energy companies.
Dayforce is the HR and payroll suite from Ceridian, and its recruiting module runs the careers site. Postings sit on jobs.dayforcehcm.com under the employer’s own name.
What actually happens
You land on the posting
Dayforce postings sit on `jobs.dayforcehcm.com`, with the employer and site name in the address.
Account choice
We take "Apply without an Account" when the employer offers it. When the employer requires a Dayforce ID, we create the account and verify its email.
Every step filled
Contact details, address, a resume upload, then education and work history, filled from your profile with a tailored resume.
Number kept
Submitted, and the confirmation number is saved with the application.
What trips people up
- Some employers open a privacy statement in a pop-up that you must agree to before the form continues.
- Education and work history go in separate sections, with school, degree, employer, job title and dates for each entry.
- The form asks for your email address twice, once to enter it and once to confirm it.
How you know it landed
Dayforce shows a confirmation number on the screen once the employer accepts the application. That number is your receipt, so save it with the application.
