Workday applications without the account, the wizard, or the retyping

Workday walls the application behind an account, then walks you through a multi-screen wizard that asks you to re-enter the resume you just uploaded. We do all of it.

Who uses it
Large enterprises and Fortune 500 companies. If you are applying to a company with tens of thousands of staff, expect Workday.

Workday is the applicant tracking system most large enterprises run on. It is also the slowest to apply through by hand, by a wide margin.

What actually happens

  1. The account wall comes first

Workday postings sit on a per-employer tenant domain. Before you can apply you have to create a candidate account for that specific employer and verify the email address.

  2. We sign up and verify, you do nothing

We create the account on your behalf and complete the email verification ourselves. You are never sent a code to type in or asked to go and unblock anything - that is a hard rule here, not a feature.

  3. The resume gets parsed, then checked

Workday parses your uploaded resume into structured work history and education, then asks for confirmation. We check the parse against your real profile and correct it rather than accepting a bad read.

  4. The wizard, screen by screen

Application questions, cascading location pickers, and voluntary disclosures follow across several screens. Each one has to validate before the next appears.

  5. Submitted, and actually checkable

At the end Workday records the application against your candidate account, and you can log in later and see it.

What trips people up

  • Every employer runs its own Workday tenant, so your account at one company does not work at another. The URL usually looks like `{company}.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com` or a similar numbered variant.
  • Location fields cascade. You have to choose a country before the state or region list populates, and choosing them out of order leaves the second field empty.
  • Workday parses your resume into structured work-history entries and then asks you to confirm them. This is the step that makes a manual Workday application feel like typing your CV twice.
  • The wizard usually runs across several screens - my information, experience, application questions, voluntary disclosures, review - and each one has to validate before the next appears.

How you know it landed

Workday shows a submitted state and usually emails you. Because you have an account, you can also log back in and see the application in your candidate home - Workday is one of the few systems where you genuinely can check.

Questions people actually ask

Yes. Workday requires a candidate account per employer. That is the single biggest reason Workday applications take so much longer than Greenhouse or Lever ones.

Usually yes, and it is per employer rather than per person. A Workday account at one company does not sign you in at another, because each employer runs its own Workday tenant.

Workday will parse your resume into its own structured fields - work history, education, skills - and then ask you to review them. The parse is frequently imperfect, which is why the review step exists.
