Connect Gmail, Outlook and Indeed to AI Applyd (Beta)

Connect Gmail or Outlook and AI Applyd reads the job mail in that inbox, files it under the right application, and can apply and reply from that address. Indeed is in early beta. All three are on Hired Yesterday, opened one account at a time.

You can now connect Gmail, Outlook and Indeed to AI Applyd. All three are in beta on the Hired Yesterday plan, and we turn them on one account at a time.

With Gmail or Outlook connected, we read the job mail in that inbox and file it under the right application. You can also apply and reply from that address. With Indeed connected, we can apply to jobs that only take Indeed's own form, and those jobs show up in your deck. Indeed is the least finished of the three, so it opens more slowly.

Gmail and Outlook: your inbox, read for you

Hiring systems talk by email. They send sign-in codes, receipts, interview invites and replies. Until now, all of that went to your private relay address. That still works, and it needs no setup.

Now you can connect the inbox you already use. Gmail covers personal Gmail and Google Workspace. Outlook covers Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live and Microsoft 365.

With an inbox connected, AI Applyd can do four things:

  • It reads the codes and links hiring systems send, so an application does not stall on a verification step.
  • It files each job email next to the application it belongs to.
  • It can send your replies from that address.
  • It can apply from that address, so employers see your real email and reply to it.

You choose which address goes on your applications. Pick it under "Apply with" on the same page. If you disconnect, applications go back to your relay address.

What we read, and what we leave alone

We look at the sender and the subject line first. Mail from hiring systems, job boards and companies you applied to gets read. So does mail whose subject is about a job, like a recruiter writing from their own company domain. If that second kind turns out not to be job mail, we delete it. While an application waits for a sign-in code, we also look for that code. We never download anything else.

We check for new job mail every 15 minutes. You can also press "Sync now". If you disconnect an inbox, we delete the mail we stored from it.

Indeed: early beta

Some jobs only take applications through Indeed's own form. Until now we could not send those. The Indeed connection is our first step there.

Here is how it works. You connect Gmail or Outlook first, because Indeed signs in by email. Then you pick the Indeed site your account lives on, like indeed.com for the US. We sign in to Indeed with your connected email and read Indeed's code from your inbox. No password is needed. If Indeed texts a code to your phone, you type it on the page.

Once it is connected:

  • We can use "Sign in with Indeed" buttons for you.
  • We can apply to jobs that only take Indeed's own form.
  • Indeed-only jobs start showing up in your Discover deck.

This part is early. Indeed sometimes asks for an extra security check at sign-in, and on some days we cannot get past it yet. When that happens, the card tells you and you can try again later. We are opening Indeed slowly while we work on it.

Indeed's terms limit automated applying, and Indeed may limit an account that applies automatically. The Indeed card says this before you connect, and connecting means you accept that risk.

How to get access

Integrations come with the Hired Yesterday plan. During the beta, we open them one account at a time, and we review each request ourselves.

  1. Get on Hired Yesterday. You can see the plans on the pricing page.
  2. Open Integrations in your dashboard.
  3. Press "Request beta access".
  4. When we approve your request, the Connect buttons show up on that page.
  5. Connect Gmail or Outlook, and pick it under "Apply with".
  6. If you want Indeed too, connect it last.

On another plan, you can still open the Integrations page and look around. The Connect buttons open the plan options instead.

What comes next

Two tiles on the Integrations page say "Coming soon":

  • iCloud and Yahoo Mail, so you can connect whichever inbox you use.
  • More job sites. Wellfound, Dice and StepStone are on the list, working the way Indeed works today.

Everything else in AI Applyd works as before. We apply on the employer's own hiring system, across 34 hiring systems. And if you live in ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor, our MCP server lets you find jobs and apply from there.

Questions

Which plan includes integrations?

Hired Yesterday. Gmail, Outlook and Indeed connections are a beta on that plan, and we approve each account by hand.

Does AI Applyd read all my email?

No. We check the sender and subject first, and only mail that looks like hiring or recruiter mail gets downloaded. If it turns out not to be job mail, we delete it.

Is the Gmail connection verified by Google?

Not yet. Google has not finished verifying our Gmail access. We will update this post when it is.

Do I have to connect an inbox to use AI Applyd?

No. Every account has a private relay address that works with no setup. Connecting an inbox is optional.

Is Indeed ready?

It is in early beta. Indeed sometimes blocks the sign-in with a security check we cannot pass yet. We are rolling it out slowly.
