About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our mobile engineering team and build high-quality applications for Android users. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java and Kotlin, Android application architecture, API integration, and modern Android development practices.

You will work alongside product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA professionals to transform product requirements into stable, intuitive, and high-performing mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications across multiple product releases.

Build reusable and maintainable mobile components using Kotlin and Java.

Work with Android SDK and modern Android development libraries.

Integrate applications with RESTful backend services and third-party APIs.

Implement network communication using technologies such as Retrofit.

Work with local data storage using SQLite, Room, or suitable persistence solutions.

Integrate and manage services such as Firebase where required.

Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces across different Android devices and screen sizes.

Apply appropriate architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVP.

Use modern UI technologies, including Jetpack Compose, where applicable.

Write unit and UI tests using tools such as JUnit and Espresso.

Identify, investigate, and resolve crashes, defects, performance issues, and compatibility problems.

Optimize applications for responsiveness, memory usage, battery consumption, and overall stability.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.

Work with Git-based version-control workflows.

Collaborate with QA teams to reproduce and resolve application issues.

Support automated build and release processes through CI/CD pipelines.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and sprint planning.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of professional experience developing Android applications.

Strong hands-on programming experience with Kotlin and/or Java.

Good understanding of the Android SDK and Android application lifecycle.

Experience developing applications using Android Studio.

Strong knowledge of REST API integration.

Practical experience with Retrofit or comparable networking libraries.

Experience with local persistence technologies such as Room or SQLite.

Understanding of Android architecture patterns, particularly MVVM or MVP.

Experience writing automated tests with JUnit and Espresso.

Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive layouts.

Preferred Skills

Hands-on exposure to Jetpack Compose.

Experience working with Firebase services.

Knowledge of Android multithreading and asynchronous programming.

Familiarity with mobile application security practices.

Exposure to CI/CD for Android application builds and releases.

Experience investigating application performance and memory-related issues.

Familiarity with modern Android Jetpack libraries.

Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
