About the Role

We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented, disciplined, and methodical professional to join our team as Consultant, Truck and Upfit. In this role, you will serve as a strategic consultant responsible for designing and implementing upfit solutions that optimize fleet performance, control costs, and enhance safety and compliance across light-duty vehicle classes. You will manage complex supplier relationships and influence multimillion-dollar procurement decisions, ensuring cost efficiency and maximizing Element’s rebate and revenue opportunities. You will operate autonomously, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and high-impact client recommendations.

What You’ll Do

Create upfit specifications for Class 1 through 5 (Light Duty) vehicles by working with suppliers to generate price quotes and profiles for customers.

Work to develop a comprehensive Request for Quotation (RFQ) package for clients and send to vendors for bid.

Accurately document all client and vendor transactions and communications.

Analyze customer vehicle specifications and duty cycles to provide guidance for improvements.

Work with Strategic Alliances to introduce clients to new vendor partners or new equipment solutions.

Attend or host client update meetings as needed throughout the model year.

Develop and maintain key relations with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), Dealer, upfitter, and other suppliers.

Participate in vehicle OEM or upfitting training sessions and/or site visits when available.

Provide cross-functional, cross-business support and guidance for Maintenance, Sales, and Customer Service regarding upfit vehicles, issues, or other matters.

Support administrative staff with purchase orders changes, quote updates, and upfitting specification duties as necessary.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with truck and commercial vehicle specifications.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar applications.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple tasks.

Ability to work independently and function within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: College/University degree preferred.

Bachelor's in business, engineering or other industry-related discipline, degree preferred.

TMI Certification, ASE Certification, NTEA affiliation, SAE Member or other industry-related affiliations are a plus.

Truck Industry- OEM, dealer (chassis or upfit) or leasing company experience a plus.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced organization, able to shift to different priorities.

Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving ability.

Compensation

The hiring base salary range for this position is $60,400-$83,050 annually. This range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the expected base salary at the time of posting. Salary ranges may vary based on the geographic location where the work is performed. The salary range listed in this posting applies only to the location identified. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including the successful candidate's qualifications, knowledge, skills, experience, internal pay equity, and relevant market data. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in annual incentive programs, including bonuses, commissions, or other incentive compensation, as applicable to the role. Element also offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement savings plans.
