Japanese Restaurant hiring experienced Server

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience

Take accurate food and beverage orders using Micros POS or similar systems

Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities

Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation

Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and cash handling procedures

Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times

Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operation

Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and service stations in compliance with health regulations

Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours

Provide guest services that exceed expectations by addressing inquiries or concerns professionally

Qualifications

Proven experience as a server in a restaurant environment, preferably within the food industry or hospitality sector

Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly preferred

Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail

Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order accuracy

Experience in food preparation or kitchen support is a plus but not required

Knowledge of Japanese cuisine or cultural nuances is advantageous but not mandatory

Must be able to stand for extended periods and work efficiently during busy shifts
