Dock Coordinator
About the role
Coordinate all defined equipment mobilization requirements in support of the OPG Operations and OPG Projects Department at the OII Dock.
PREFERRED
Two (2) to three (3) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Working Conditions
Includes exposure to contaminants
Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures
Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people
Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions

Reads and understand procedures
Reads and understand engineering drawings
Plans and coordinate premobilization activities with PM and Engineers
Assists PM/Engineers with deck layouts
Coordinates 3 rd party services at the dock (welders, mobile cranes and NDT)
Conducts mobilization planning with PM/OM
Sets up trucking schedules with PM/OM for mobilizations, demobilizations and pre/post mobilization activities
Directs loading/offloading of trucks during mob/demobilization
Interfaces with project stake holders
Generates EMO’s and sign work orders
Signs off on procedures
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment stored at dock
Operates forklift
Directs rigging/crane and welding operations
Inventories/checks in job related equipment at the dock
Coordinates proper hand over with opposite on shift change
Works seven day/12 hour shifts at OII Dock
