Mobile Trailer Engineer - Stonebridge
About the role
We are currently hiring 3 Mobile Engineers for our new site in Stonebridge, Birmingham. The Mobile Engineers are responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs to commercial trailers and associated equipment at customer premises and other locations as required. The role involves working independently in a mobile environment, diagnosing and rectifying faults and ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard in accordance with company procedures, manufacturer requirements and relevant health and safety legislation.
Responsibilities include:
Carrying out on-site trailer repairs and maintenance
Completing trailer inspections and safety checks
Tail lift repairs and servicing
LOLER inspections and associated repairs
Diagnosing and rectifying running defects
Carrying out defect repairs at customer premises
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Working in line with company procedures and health & safety requirements
Accurately completing job sheets and associated documentation
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Previous experience working on commercial trailers preferred
Good mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience with tail lifts would be advantageous
The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
A full UK driving licence
A professional and customer-focused approach
A strong commitment to health and safety
Good communication and organisational skills

Experience:
Tail lift / Lifting deck engineer: 2 years (advantageous)
Previous experience working on commercial trailers (preferred)
