About this opportunity

Responsible for overseeing quality control processes, the Quality Manager will work collaboratively with the construction, procurement, design, engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure conformance with project requirements and the highest standards of performance, functionality, and safety.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Positively engaging with customers and developing, growing and maintaining customer relationships.

Fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment by collaborating closely with construction, commissioning, procurement, design, and operations stakeholders.

Reviewing construction and installation methodologies and recommending improvements where required.

Confirming that installed assets meet customer specifications.

Reviewing and approving the schedule in conjunction with the design lead and project managers.

Conducting area and room ready sign-offs in conjunction with the general contractor, project managers, and design managers.

Recording all daily activities in the project-specific application.

Conducting daily inspections using the project-specific application to verify installation quality and the timely correction of deficiencies.

Driving attendance by the general contractor and relevant package stakeholders at joint inspections.

Providing a link between the delivery, design, and operations teams to support the resolution of installation issues.

Addressing quality issues and ensuring necessary modifications are made to maintain the agreed budget, schedule, and scope and improve project delivery.

Agreeing a quality audit plan.

Executing project audits and ensuring audit objectives are achieved.

Consolidating, analysing, and reporting key audit data regularly to demonstrate compliance and conformance.

Identifying areas for improvement and using disciplined problem-solving techniques to correct and prevent non-conformance.

Improving process control through increased process capability and error-proofing.

Documenting, aggregating, and reporting audit results, issues, lessons learned, and recommendations for corrective action.

Preparing detailed audit reports that clearly summarise non-conformances and audit outcomes.

Analysing and evaluating construction project quality metrics.

Providing data-driven insights to support process adherence and conformance.

Confirming that Level I, II, and III testing documentation is complete, including all required logs and reports.

Attending and confirming base build handovers, re-energisation walkdowns, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, and kick-off meetings.

Using the project-specific application to track issues and maintain supporting documentation.

Confirming that the general contractor is fulfilling its contractual requirements in accordance with the quality management plan.

Providing weekly assessment reports, including the tracking of construction deficiencies and progress against scheduled milestones.

Staying up to date with relevant construction and quality industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Continuously improving quality control procedures and protocols to support region-wide change management.

Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency within audit and quality control workflows.

Providing training and support to stakeholders on quality control processes, specifications, and best practices.

Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

Experience in construction quality management for data centre projects.

Experience in data centres´ MAS commissioning, RFS and handover.

Proficient in using data analytics and internal reporting tools, such as Power BI, Compass Cx and other

statistical inference tools.

Experience supporting project close-out and quality assurance processes.

Ability to handle and interpret large amounts of information and confidential information.

Analytical skills.

Ability to integrate with teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Eligible to work in Germany.

Available to work site-based in Frankfurt 5 days per week.

Professional level of English. German is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related fields.
