About the role
Summary
This role is responsible for developing and managing business from the CIS region to maximize room, group, and related revenue opportunities. The role focuses on building strong relationships with key partners, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets while maintaining the property’s luxury positioning and brand standards.
Main Duties:
Develop and implement strategic sales activities for the CIS market to achieve assigned room, group, and revenue targets.
Manage and strengthen relationships with key tour operators, travel agencies, corporate clients, luxury travel advisors, and other partners across the region.
Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities through proactive sales calls, appointments, market research, and networking activities.
Maintain an effective portfolio of existing accounts while developing new accounts with strong revenue potential for the property.
Negotiate rates, contracts, packages, and commercial terms based on market conditions, business potential, and sound commercial judgement.
Prepare and execute account development plans to increase production, market share, and long-term business from key partners.
Conduct regular sales trips, client meetings, presentations, product trainings, and networking activities within assigned markets.
Represent the property at international trade shows, roadshows, exhibitions, workshops, and other relevant sales events.
Organize and host familiarization trips, site inspections, partner visits, and property presentations to showcase facilities and experiences.
Monitor booking patterns, account production, market performance, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
Maintain a strong understanding of CIS travel trends, customer preferences, seasonality, air connectivity, and destination developments.
Work closely with Revenue Management to review market demand, pricing opportunities, account performance, and business displacement considerations.
Collaborate with Reservations, Events, Marketing, Front Office, and other departments to ensure accurate communication and seamless handling of key clients and guests.
Maintain accurate account profiles, sales activities, contracts, production reports, and business opportunities within the relevant CRM and sales systems.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market updates while ensuring all secured business aligns with commercial objectives, brand standards, and the property’s luxury positioning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3–4 years of relevant hospitality sales experience, including exposure to the CIS market, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort.
Established relationships with CIS tour operators, travel agencies, luxury travel advisors, corporate accounts, and other relevant business partners.
Fluency in Russian and English is required; proficiency in additional CIS-region languages would be an advantage.
Strong commercial, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to achieve revenue targets and develop new markets.
Willingness to travel frequently, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and hotel sales systems such as Opera or Envision considered an advantage.
