Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join a growing Wealth Management Data Management & Insights (DMI) team. The role focuses on platform engineering, automation, DevOps, infrastructure support, monitoring, and delivering scalable technology solutions across enterprise application platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support for DMI platforms including Unix/Linux, Windows, Sybase, SQL Server, MemSQL, MQ, Kafka, OpenShift, ELK, Hadoop, and Connect:Direct
Provide technical guidance to application development teams on platform and DevOps solutions
Design and implement scalable platform solutions for application teams
Develop automation programs to improve platform support efficiency
Configure monitoring and alerts to ensure platform stability, availability, and resiliency
Collaborate with Development, Quality Assurance (QA), and Production Support teams to establish CI/CD pipelines
Lead platform initiatives from planning through successful implementation
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application platform issues
Ensure platforms comply with enterprise security, governance, and technology standards
Collaborate with infrastructure teams, service providers, vendors, and operations teams
Continuously improve platform reliability, automation, and operational processes
Required Qualifications
Advanced experience with Unix/Linux and Windows environments
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Network Attached Storage (NAS), SQL Server, MQ, and Kafka
Experience with public and private cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP
Hands-on experience with OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and ELK
Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools
Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, UrbanCode, Nexus, and Ansible
Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Prognosis
Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
