About the role
We are seeking a proactive Engineering Planning Coordinator with a solid background in construction, oil & gas, EPC, or infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Primavera P6 scheduling, engineering deliverables tracking, and cross-functional coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams. This role is essential to ensuring engineering progress is accurately captured in the master schedule and that discipline teams remain aligned with project milestones.
Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Coordination
Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering teams (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process) to track deliverable progress.
Monitor engineering document status - IFC (Issued for Construction), IFA (Issued for Approval), IFR (Issued for Review) - and link milestones to the master schedule.
Maintain and update the Engineering Deliverables Register / Master Document Register (MDR) in coordination with Document Control.
Act as the primary interface between the Planning team and Engineering discipline leads.
Planning & Scheduling Support
Assist in developing and updating project schedules using Primavera P6 (P6 EPPM) and MS Project.
Support critical path method (CPM) analysis for engineering activities and flag potential delays.
Track engineering manhours, resource loading, and productivity against the approved plan.
Coordinate interface points between Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) schedules.
Reporting & Progress Monitoring
Prepare progress S-curves, histograms, and dashboards for engineering deliverables.
Support preparation of Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports (WPR/MPR) for management and client submission.
Track and report engineering earned value and progress percentage against baseline.
Prepare data and visuals for client presentations and project review meetings.
Change & Risk Management
Support tracking of engineering scope changes and update schedules to reflect approved variations.
Assist in identifying schedule risks related to engineering delays and support recovery planning.
Document & Data Management
Maintain accurate engineering progress trackers, deliverable logs, and reporting registers.
Coordinate with Document Control systems to ensure alignment between drawings/deliverables and the project schedule.
Support internal and client audits with accurate engineering planning data.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience
3–7 years of experience in engineering planning, scheduling coordination, or project controls within EPC, Oil & Gas, Construction, or Engineering Consultancy environments.
Experience coordinating with multi-discipline engineering teams is highly preferred.
