Senior HD Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and guide mechanics, technicians, and helpers to ensure efficient workshop operations and quality workmanship.

Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of heavy-duty vehicles, plant, machinery, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems.

Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults and coordinate timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.

Supervise inspections, repairs, overhauls, and maintenance in line with OEM recommendations and company standards.

Maintain maintenance records, work orders, breakdown history, inspection reports, and spare-parts usage.

Coordinate with operations, supervisors, and stores for maintenance planning and spare-parts availability.

Ensure proper use and upkeep of workshop tools, equipment, and consumables.

Enforce HSE requirements, safe work practices, PPE compliance, and workshop housekeeping.

Report major/recurring defects and support improvements to equipment reliability, availability, and workshop efficiency.

Requirements:

Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or related field.

Minimum 8–10 years of experiencein heavy-duty vehicle and plant maintenance, including supervisory exposure.

Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.

Experience working on infrastructure or construction projects is preferred.

Ability to troubleshoot and work independently under pressure.

Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with brands such as CAT, Komatsu, JCB, Volvo, etc.

Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
