Warehouse Supervisor - Day shift

Position Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Work Location: KCS Logistics and Cold Storage, Block 403, Grants Park, Greenogue Business Park, Rathcoole, County Dublin, D24 YX77.

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Hours of Work: 11am-7pm

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

About the Role: This role is responsible for overseeing the execution of all warehouse activities against predefined processes and standards.

They are also responsible for ensuring that housekeeping, health and safety standards are maintained and any breaches are reported and actioned in a timely manner, and that team members are trained and have the capability & capacity to carry out their tasks.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Supervise and assist in daily warehouse areas including assigning work to be completed on shift, monitor progress and intervene/provide support as needed.

Ensuring adherence & compliance of all legal and safety procedures of working, including the wearing of appropriate PPE and that all work is carried out in accordance with predefined SOP’s.

Reporting of any incidents or accidents and assisting with investigations as required.

Ensure health and safety and food safety are maintained as applicable to the role.

Liaise with customers/suppliers, transport planning and other depots/departments to ensure that the required product is available on time.

Actively monitor and manage attendance including holidays, absenteeism, time keeping and adherence to breaks. Produce monthly trend reports for management review.

Monitors performance and provides feedback to team members ensuring escalation of any people issues to their Manager/HR.

Completing performance reviews/disciplinary as necessary in conjunction with HR.

Ensure relevant training is provided to new and existing team members and training documentation is kept up to date.

Engages respectfully with colleagues and manages interpersonal conflicts constructively.

Recommend measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and team members and equipment performance.

Carry out daily safety walks, identifying and reporting any damages, faulty or damaged equipment in use in the warehouse and follow up to ensure corrective action is implemented. Ensure preventative maintenance schedules Daily facilitation and participation in governance sessions to provider accurate and timely information are completed within the correct timeframe.

Produce meaningful reports with insights on shift performance.

Identification of system functionality improvements and / or process improvements that can drive efficiency and effectiveness within the role e.g. Warehouse Flow & layout, Shift patterns, Cut Off times etc.
