About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason (Steel Bending & Tile Trade) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in masonry, reinforcement steel fixing (steel bending), concrete works, block work, plastering, and ceramic/porcelain tile installation. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality construction and finishing work for residential and commercial building projects while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Steel Bending & Reinforcement Works

Read and interpret structural drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS).

Measure, cut, bend, and fix reinforcement steel bars according to project specifications.

Install reinforcement for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and staircases.

Ensure correct spacing, alignment, and tying of reinforcement before concrete pouring.

Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to ensure reinforcement complies with approved drawings.

Masonry Works

Construct and repair brick, block, and stone walls.

Carry out plastering, rendering, pointing, and cement finishing works.

Prepare mortar and concrete mixes using appropriate materials and ratios.

Build foundations, retaining walls, partitions, and other masonry structures.

Repair cracks, damaged masonry, and structural finishes.

Tile Installation

Install ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and natural stone tiles on floors, walls, bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas.

Prepare and level surfaces before tile installation.

Cut, shape, and fit tiles accurately using manual and power tile-cutting equipment.

Apply adhesives, grout joints, and perform finishing work to achieve high-quality installations.

Replace damaged tiles and perform maintenance and repair works.

Concrete & Structural Works

Assist in formwork preparation and concrete placement.

Ensure reinforcement and masonry work are ready before concrete pouring.

Carry out minor structural repair and finishing works as required.

Preventive Maintenance

Perform routine inspections and repairs of masonry finishes, tiled surfaces, and structural components.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Respond to emergency maintenance requests when required.

Project Coordination

Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other construction trades.

Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

Follow company safety procedures and quality standards at all times.

Tool Operation

Safely operate steel bending machines, rebar cutters, grinders, tile cutters, mixers, concrete vibrators, trowels, and other hand and power tools.

Qualifications

7–10 years of experience in residential and commercial construction projects.

Strong experience in steel bending, reinforcement fixing, masonry, plastering, and tile installation.

Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).

Skilled in ceramic, porcelain, marble, and stone tile installation.

Proficient in using construction hand tools and power equipment.

Good understanding of construction safety standards and quality procedures.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical fitness to perform lifting, climbing, bending, and prolonged standing.

Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency site requirements.

Valid UAE driving license is desirable.

Strong communication skills in English and Hindi; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Work Environment

Residential and commercial construction projects.

Indoor and outdoor work depending on project requirements.

Exposure to varying weather conditions and active construction sites.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
