Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer – R & D Engineering

Location: Irvine, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time / Hybrid

The job

ETAP is seeking a Senior Electrical (Power) Engineer with extensive knowledge of design, modeling and analysis of electric power systems, electrical machines, and power electronics. Engineering software development experience in Microsoft Visual C++ is required and development experience in electric power system simulation software is a plus.

Key responsibilities

Research, design, write specifications and prototypes for various power system modeling.

Develop software in ETAP environment.

Support ETAP marketing, workshops and technical support.

Lead engineering service projects.

Essential requirements

3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in modeling and analysis of power system studies.

Capabilities in researching, designing and testing of various power system simulation models.

Ability to follow various industrial standards and write specifications.

Highly motivated, self-managed, details-oriented, and well-organized; good problem solving and analytical skills.

Desirable to have experience in developing simulation software with Microsoft Visual C++.

Preferable to have experience in power system software development

Education

MS or PhD in Power System Engineering or Electrical Engineering. A MS degree in Computer Science is a plus.

Salary Range:

87,500.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
