Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Azure Integration Tester with strong hands-on experience in testing cloud-based integrations, APIs, messaging services and data flows within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The candidate will be responsible for validating end-to-end integrations between Azure services, internal applications and third-party systems, with a strong focus on Azure Service Bus, Application Insights, API testing and data validation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end Azure integration testing across cloud applications, APIs, middleware and third-party systems.

Design, develop and execute integration test scenarios covering positive, negative, exception and failure-handling scenarios.

Test Azure Service Bus queues, topics, subscriptions and message flows.

Validate message publishing, consumption, sequencing, transformation, retries and exception handling.

Validate end-to-end data movement between source systems, Azure integration components and downstream applications.

Perform comprehensive data validation, including source-to-target reconciliation, field mapping, transformation rules, completeness and accuracy checks.

Test REST APIs and web services using tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI or similar API testing tools.

Validate request/response payloads, HTTP status codes, headers, authentication, error handling and business rules.

Perform integration testing involving third-party applications and external service providers.

Use Azure Application Insights and Azure monitoring/logging capabilities to analyse application behaviour, troubleshoot failures and identify integration issues.

Validate integration workflows involving Azure components such as Service Bus, APIs, Functions and other integration services where applicable.

Perform database and backend validation using SQL queries.

Conduct functional, system integration, regression and end-to-end testing.

Identify, document and manage defects through the complete defect lifecycle.

Work closely with developers, integration architects, business analysts and other delivery teams to investigate and resolve integration defects.

Participate in requirement reviews and solution/design discussions to identify integration testing requirements and dependencies.

Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data and test execution reports.

Support testing across SIT, UAT and production-readiness activities.

Ensure traceability between requirements, interfaces, integration flows and test cases.

Mandatory Skills

5+ years of overall software testing experience.

2+ years of hands-on Azure Integration Testing experience.

Strong experience with Azure Service Bus.

Hands-on experience with Azure Application Insights for monitoring, log analysis and troubleshooting.

Strong experience in API and Web Service testing.

Experience testing third-party integrations.

Strong data validation and reconciliation experience.

Good knowledge of JSON, XML and API payload validation.

Good SQL skills for backend and database validation.

Experience testing asynchronous and message-based integrations.

Strong understanding of end-to-end system integration testing.

Experience with defect management and test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or equivalent.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
