Position Summary
Garaventa Lift is seeking an Accountant to join and support our finance team. Reporting to Assistant Controller, this role supports a variety of accounting functions, including cost and inventory analysis, fixed assets, month-end close, and selected accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, detailed-oriented and organized with strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

This is a 100% on-site position
Key Responsibilities
Product cost and inventory analysis
Assist with month-end and year-end close
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice, credit note processing and payment tracking
Oversee fixed asset accounting activities, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations
Maintain and update financial records using Syteline and QuickBooks
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as needed
Other duties as required by the Group Controller and Assistant Controller
Qualifications & Experience
Post-secondary diploma/degree in BBA or Accounting
Enrollment in the CPA program or recent CPA graduate
A minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing and construction companies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Database, especially Excel including Pivot Tables, Power Query, Marco, etc.
Experience using Syteline and QuickBooks or equivalent ERP systems
Self-motivated with the ability to work well in teams
Strong communication verbal and written skills
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
Knowledge of IFRS and public company reporting is an asset
