Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee major projects from initiation through successful completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall project delivery, including planning, execution, cost control, resource management, risk management, quality, stakeholder management, and team leadership. The Senior Project Manager will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, technical, quality, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage large-scale projects from initiation through completion and handover.

Develop and implement comprehensive project execution plans.

Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, schedules, and resource requirements.

Establish project budgets and monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Monitor project progress, costs, quality, resources, and schedules.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed quality standards.

Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, supervisors, coordinators, and subcontractors.

Assign responsibilities and ensure clear accountability across the project team.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.

Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes and implement appropriate mitigation and corrective actions.

Review and approve project schedules, plans, reports, and technical documentation.

Monitor contractual requirements and ensure compliance with project obligations.

Lead regular project progress meetings and provide updates to senior management.

Monitor project KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.

Manage project variations, claims, and scope changes in coordination with the relevant departments.

Ensure effective resource planning and utilization.

Monitor project procurement and material requirements.

Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations.

Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.

Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Resolve project issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.

Ensure proper project documentation, closeout, and handover.

Conduct post-project reviews and identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 8years of relevant project management experience, with significant experience managing complex or large-scale projects.

Proven experience in a Senior Project Manager or equivalent leadership role.

Strong experience managing projects from planning and mobilization through completion and handover.

Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, risk management, and contract management.

Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary project teams.

Strong stakeholder and client management experience.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Language Requirements

English: Excellent written and spoken English is required.

Arabic: Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, project teams, and stakeholders in both Arabic and English is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, PRINCE2, or other recognized project management certification is preferred.

Engineering background is preferred.

Experience working with international clients and consultants is an advantage.
