Machine Design Engineer

--Key Responsibilities--

The ideal candidate will possess:

Knowledge of designing with parametric 3D CAD-Software Solid Works is mandatory (We may consider proficiency in other CAD modelling packages, depending on expertise and job)

Experience with Solidworks PDM system

Developing parts and products using 3D parametric CAD

Detailed design of mechanical parts, assemblies, enclosures and product packaging

Detailed knowledge of Kinematics, motion control, pneumatic systems and mechanical systems

Specification of materials and manufacturing processes for mechanical parts and assemblies including product assembly.

Management of mechanical design from customer requirements to final fabrication and assembly.

Ideally hands-on or in-depth experience in machine building.

Understand customer needs, internal standards and supplier capabilities.

Project management

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, material properties and the design of plastic mouldings, welding and sheet metal parts.

Utilize software tools to simulate, model and analyse products.

Create documentation and working instructions.

Readiness to keep up to date on technical trends and state of technology.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Maintain and enhance personal expertise and knowledge in own specialization.

Several years of experience in Mechanical Engineering role.

Complex machinery design

Mechanical Product Design

Materials knowledge

Working knowledge of fabrication skills, welding, turning, milling and build.

Kinematics of mechanisms

Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance

Product Testing and Evaluation Methods

Full UK driving licence.

Candidates must have Excellent English language skills - Native or Professional level
