About the role

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily steel and metal fabrication activities in the workshop.

Read and interpret fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.

Allocate work to fabricators, fitters, and welders according to project requirements.

Monitor cutting, fitting, welding, drilling, grinding, assembly, and finishing activities.

Ensure fabricated components meet required dimensions, alignment, quality, and specifications.

Coordinate with Production, Engineering, QA/QC, and Project teams.

Monitor manpower, materials, tools, and workshop productivity.

Inspect work progress and identify/correct fabrication issues.

Ensure work is completed according to project schedules and deadlines.

Enforce HSE and workshop safety procedures.

Maintain proper housekeeping and discipline within the fabrication area.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in steel/structural metal fabrication supervision.

Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and workshop operations.

Ability to read and understand fabrication/shop drawings.

Good knowledge of welding, fitting, cutting, grinding, and assembly processes.

Experience handling and supervising fabricators, fitters, and welders.

Good leadership and team-management skills.

UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
