About the Role
Main duties:
Perform ARC/MIG welding and general metal fabrication.
Cut steel, pipes, plates, structures and other metal materials using oxy-acetylene/oxygen-gas cutting equipment.
Read basic drawings, measurements and fabrication instructions.
Prepare, fit, align and weld metal components.
Carry out repair and maintenance welding on trucks, trailers, heavy equipment and steel structures.
Grind, clean and finish welded/cut surfaces.
Inspect welds and finished work for quality and defects.
Safely handle welding machines, gas cylinders, regulators, hoses and cutting equipment.
Follow company HSE and hot-work safety procedures, including PPE and fire-prevention requirements.
Keep the work area, tools and equipment clean and in safe working condition.
Work with mechanics, fabricators and workshop supervisors as required.
Qualifications / Requirements
ITI / Vocational Certificate / Diploma in Welding or Fabrication preferred.
2–5+ years of practical experience as a Welder & Gas Cutter, preferably in UAE/GCC.
Experience with ARC welding and gas/oxy-fuel cutting.
Experience working with steel plates, pipes, structural steel and heavy equipment is an advantage.
Ability to understand basic measurements and fabrication drawings.
Good knowledge of welding and gas-cutting safety.
Physically fit and able to work in a workshop/industrial environment.
Willing to work overtime when required.
UAE experience and relevant welder/hot-work certification would be an advantage.
Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
