About the role

Key Responsibilities

Perform ARC/MMA welding on structural steel and metal components.

Read and understand welding and fabrication drawings.

Select the correct electrodes, welding current, and welding techniques.

Weld joints according to required specifications and quality standards.

Perform welding on different steel sections, plates, frames, beams, and structures.

Inspect welds for cracks, porosity, undercut, and other defects.

Carry out grinding, cleaning, and basic finishing of welded joints.

Maintain welding equipment and follow workshop safety procedures.

Coordinate with fabricators, fitters, and supervisors to complete fabrication work.

Requirements

Previous experience as an ARC/MMA Welder in steel or metal fabrication.

Good knowledge of SMAW / Stick Welding.

Ability to weld different positions and steel thicknesses.

Ability to read basic fabrication/welding drawings.

Knowledge of welding safety and proper PPE.

UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
