About the role
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG/MAG welding on structural steel and metal components.
Read and understand fabrication drawings and welding specifications.
Set and operate MIG welding machines with the correct voltage, wire speed, and gas flow.
Weld steel plates, sections, frames, beams, and other fabricated components.
Prepare joints by cleaning, grinding, and positioning materials before welding.
Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, and incomplete fusion.
Perform grinding and finishing of welded joints when required.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Coordinate with fabricators, fitters, and supervisors to complete work as per schedule.
Requirements
Previous experience as a MIG/MAG Welder in steel or metal fabrication.
Good knowledge of MIG welding techniques and equipment.
Ability to weld different steel sections and thicknesses.
Ability to read basic fabrication/welding drawings.
Knowledge of welding safety and proper PPE.
UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
