About the role
Primary Function To generate purchase orders, update order acknowledgements and invoices, maintain goods receipt records, and expedite the delivery of outstanding orders to ensure smooth production operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Liaise with Planners to coordinate material and parts ordering.
Expedite materials and parts deliveries with suppliers and subcontractors as required.
Ensure material availability to support daily production operations.
Generate Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Orders (DO), and invoices as required.
Update and maintain the Store Inventory System accurately.
Verify quantities and prices, and update purchase order delivery status.
Coordinate with freight forwarders for air, sea, and land shipment arrangements.
Support store operations by managing data input and output in the Store Inventory System.
Liaise with the Accounts Department to verify invoices and resolve discrepancies.
Respond to supplier inquiries regarding purchase order status, delivery schedules, and shipment methods.
Support the Planning Department in the following functions when required:
Coordinate with cross-functional departments to resolve scheduling issues and meet production plans and customer orders.
Procure materials required for production and ensure sufficient supply to support manufacturing operations.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding purchase orders.
Participate in production planning meetings to ensure customer requirements are met.
Update inventory records and material transactions in the SAP system.
Assist in preparing production plans, delivery performance reports, and related operational reports.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements
Minimum SPM with relevant working experience, or a Diploma in a related field.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is an added advantage.
Experience in purchasing, materials planning, inventory control, logistics coordination, or a related function is preferred.
Ability to expedite deliveries and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
