Job Requirements

Own Month-End Close and Financial Reporting Cycle

Support the timely and accurate completion of month-end close process.

Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standard, including accurate transaction coding, authorization, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Manage the Goods Received/Invoice Received (GRIR) reconciliation process, proactively investigating and resolving variances in collaboration with the SDC Accounts Payable team and local purchasing officers.

Ensure all month-end journals are prepared, reviewed and posted accurately and within established deadlines.

Prepare and deliver meaningful variance analysis of monthly financial results, providing insights to support the Head of Country Finance and business stakeholders.

Parter effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, improve processes, and support business and finance objectives.

Assist with the Year-End Audit and Statutory Reporting

Play a key role in the delivery of year-end financial results, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting timelines.

Support the year-end external audit process by preparing schedules, responding to auditor queries, and coordinating documentation requests.

Collaborate with internal stakeholder and external auditors to facilitate an efficient and timely audit process.

Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of year-end reporting activities.

Assist in Strengthening Business Internal Controls and Process Governance

Support the Head of Country Finance in maintaining a robust internal control environment, ensuring effective financial and operational controls are designed, implemented, and monitored across the business.

Assist in ensuring appropriate segregation of duties, delegation of authority, and control compliance to mitigate operational and financial risks.

Assist the Head of Country Finance in driving continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and overall control effectiveness.

Ensure finance policies, procedures, and practices remain compliant with internal governance requirements, corporate policies, and internal Audit standards.

Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentations, coordinating responses, and facilitating the timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.

Assist to ensure Compliance with Tax Regulations

Support the accurate and timely preparation, review and lodgment of all indirect tax obligations in Australia, including Business Activity Statement (BAS), Payroll Tax and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns.

Assist with the income tax return process

Manage and Improve the Intercompany Transaction Cycle

Oversee the timely and accurate validation and processing of intercompany transactions and invoicing.

Perform monthly intercompany account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure variances are resolved promptly.

Partner with SDC finance teams to ensure alignment of intercompany balances and compliance with group policies.

Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance intercompany processes and controls.

Manage Fixed Assets Register

Maintain and manage Fixed Assets Register

Perform periodic reviews and reconciliations of fixed asset to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Lead Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Processes

Partner closely with the Service Delivery Centre (SDC) teams to drive continuous improvement across Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy and control effectiveness.

Review and maintain vendor master data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.

Monitor AP and AR performance metrics, supporting timely issue resolution and process optimization.

Ad Hoc Projects and Continuous Improvement

Support business transformation, system implementation, and special finance projects as required.

Undertake additional responsibilities and ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Country Finance.

Work Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or professional qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar field

Minimum 2-3 years of experience, proven track record in a financial accounting role

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to drive improvements that deliver fast and efficient processes and procedures

Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls

High levels of enthusiasm and the ability to work within a shared service environment

Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent time management skills

Intermediate to advance level of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and word

SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud experience as asset.

Australian work rights are required for this position.
