The UPS Store - Part/Full time Retail Associate, Dublin CA

Job Summary

The Store Associate is responsible for the day-to-day operations of this location. Our associates are trained to deliver world-class customer service to all customers. This candidate should have a post high school education (college coursework or a degree), at least a year of retail store operations experience, strong leadership skills, good computer/internet/software knowledge, the physical ability to perform this job (lifting, bending, etc.), and knows how to “listen and lead.” Manager is willing to train the right candidate to this position.

Responsibilities and Duties

Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries

Maintains a clean and safe working environment

Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience

May open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting, etc.

Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and properly cushioning contents

Takes ownership of customers’ packing, shipping, and/or print problems and offers viable solutions

Expertly operates POS equipment

Helps with other Center functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and binding

Maintains strong attention to detail when proofing all materials

Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or GED required

Retail experience

Good communication skills

Notary license preferred but not required

Prompt, reliable, and responsible

Able to lift 40+ pound
