Job Purpose
Teach the subject Engineering Drawing in the Mechanical Engineering programmes
Working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering CAD software packages
Assist with supervision of students completing Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum requirements:
A Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. All base qualifications must be Mechanical Engineering.
At least two (2) years lecturing experience or two (2) years relevant industrial experience.
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
Lecturing on the Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics) Programmes: Engineering Drawing
Develop learning materials for programmes: Engineering Drawing
Contribute to research outputs through participation in research activities
Assistance with departmental administration
Participate in curriculum and programme development
Participate in Quality Assurance Activities
Assisting students with projects and productions
Contribution to co-ordination of student projects and productions
Contribution to departmental projects and productions
Contribution to departmental WIL and service-learning projects and activities
Supervise and mentor both undergraduate and postgraduate students
Assist with marketing and recruitment activities
Perform other academic and support functions as may be required by the Head of Department
Attend conferences and publish in accredited journals or conference proceedings as required by the university for academics
