Software QA Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and passionate QA Engineer to drive quality assurance across the KEA ERP ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for validating end-to-end features across our Web Portal, Native iOS & Android applications, and Backend REST APIs.

You will work closely with product and development teams to ensure high reliability across critical business operations, including HR & Payroll, GPS Fleet Management, Biometric Attendance sync, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

Key Responsibilities

- Cross-Platform Testing: Plan, execute, and document test scenarios across Web (Next.js), iOS (SwiftUI / TestFlight), Android (Kotlin), and Backend APIs.

- API & Integration Testing: Validate RESTful endpoints, payload structures, authentication (JWT / Refresh tokens), and third-party integrations (BioTime biometrics, AWS Textract OCR, DocuSign, GPS telematics).

- Functional & Role-Based Testing: Thoroughly test role-gated permissions (Admin, HR, Planning Engineer, Supervisor, Sales, Employee, Client).

- Test Automation: Build and maintain automated test scripts (Playwright / Cypress for Web, Postman / Newman for API, and Espresso / XCUITest or Appium for mobile).

- Bug Tracking & Reporting: Log clear, reproducible bug reports with detailed steps, logs, device specs, and network payloads in Jira / Linear.

- Release Verification: Perform smoke, regression, and sanity testing prior to web deployments and App Store / Google Play / TestFlight releases.

- Edge Case & Offline Testing: Validate offline sync behavior, error handling, token refresh flows, and real-time map/geofence updates.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: 2–4+ years of professional QA experience testing web and native mobile applications.

- API Testing: Strong hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or curl.

- Mobile QA: Solid experience testing native Android and iOS apps (TestFlight, APK builds, physical devices, simulators).

- Web QA: In-depth understanding of browser dev tools, responsive UI testing, and network inspection.

- Database & Backend Awareness: Basic SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL) to verify database records and state changes.

- Test Automation: Hands-on experience with at least one modern automation tool (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium).

- Mindset: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to finding edge-case defects before production.
