Safety Information Systems Manager
About the role
Position Summary
Create enterprise-wide visibility, predictive analytics capability, and standardized safety data governance that enables proactive decision-making, SIF prevention, and unified reporting across all divisions and business units. Works in partnership with IT for application administration, cybersecurity, integrations, enterprise architecture, platform support, master data governance, and data management.
Position Details
Serve as business owner for EHS software platforms, defining requirements, business processes, data standards, and adoption strategies. Partner with IT for platform administration, security, user provisioning, integrations, upgrades, and technical support.
Standardize KPI definitions (TRIR, DART, leading indicators, SIF metrics, telematics indicators).
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Samsara telematics to drive predictive and behavior-based improvement.
Act as SME for safety software implementations, user acceptance testing, adoption, training, and process improvement.
Define business requirements and analytical content for enterprise safety dashboards and reporting. Partner with IT/Data & Analytics teams on data models, platform governance, security, and report deployment.
Manage the A3 / SIF distribution process for rapid enterprise communication.
Partner with Corporate EHS to manage enterprise safety initiatives, pilots, and digital deployments.
Drive data-informed decision-making using structured insights, scorecards, and executive reporting.
Ensure safety data supports the transition from lagging indicators to leading-indicator performance management.
Complete required compliance documentation, OSHA 300 logs, surveys, etc.
Qualifications
Data-driven leadership style with strong analytical capability.
Strong capability leveraging BI and analytical tools to interpret safety performance and communicate insights.
Familiarity with EHS software, incident systems, and telematics platforms (e.g., Samsara).
Ability to understand cross-functional business processes and leverage data from multiple systems to support safety decision-making
Strong collaboration with Corporate Safety, Regional Safety, IT, and Operations.
Excellent executive communication and reporting capability.
