Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering function for a major power generation facility. Operating on a 2:1 FIFO roster, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient construction of the power station through effective engineering strategies.

Reporting as a key member of the site leadership team, you will oversee engineering performance, operational support and compliance activities while leading a team of engineering professionals focused on delivering operational excellence.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Lead and manage the site Engineering team, providing direction across reliability, maintenance and asset management activities.

Develop and implement engineering strategies that improve plant availability, reliability and operational performance.

Support operations and maintenance teams in achieving performance, production and availability targets.

Oversee asset management programs, maintenance optimisation and lifecycle planning.

Ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory obligations and company procedures.

Lead engineering risk management processes to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.

Monitor engineering performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage engineering budgets, workforce planning and resource allocation.

Provide technical leadership for plant troubleshooting, operational challenges and major equipment issues.

Build strong relationships with operations, maintenance, client representatives and key stakeholders.

What you’ll bring:

Degree qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical or related Engineering discipline.

Extensive leadership experience within power generation, energy, utilities, oil & gas or heavy industrial operations.

Strong background in asset management, plant reliability and maintenance strategy development.

Proven experience managing engineering teams in complex operational environments.

Sound understanding of engineering risk management and operational governance.

Knowledge of Australian engineering standards, safety regulations and statutory compliance requirements.

Strong commercial acumen with experience managing operational budgets and performance outcomes.

Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
