Synopsis

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for enterprise data management products, data platforms and data processing solutions, from defining desirable, feasible, viable and sustainable products to launching them and ensuring they continuously meet business, customer and operational needs. This role owns the strategy, vision and roadmap for products within the value stream, ensuring the product vision is aligned with and actively advances the enterprise data strategy, data governance priorities, platform scalability and data processing capabilities, and supports the Release Train Engineers in delivering value to customers.

This role requires a customer-centric and data-driven mindset, acting as the internal representative of business users, data consumers, and platform stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle. The role leverages market, customer and internal data platform insights to continuously understand needs, shape the roadmap and improve adoption. The successful candidate is a proactive self-starter who builds strong relationships with senior stakeholders and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift, and requirements are not always fully defined.

Accountabilities

Own the product vision and roadmap for enterprise data management, data platform and data processing products, ensuring alignment with the enterprise data strategy and translating strategic data objectives into a clear, deliverable product plan

Work with business, data, analytics and technology stakeholders to develop and communicate the strategy, vision and roadmap for products, ensuring the team understands how platform capabilities, data services and features will be developed over time

Work with Solution Architects, Data Architects, Data Engineers and Software Engineers to define and maintain Non-Functional Requirements, ensuring the product meets quality, scalability, security, governance and performance standards

Support the flow of work through the portfolio Kanban and into the product backlog

Work with the Product Owner to reprioritize the backlog based on business, customer, data platform and enterprise data management needs

Present the product vision during Program Increment (PI) Planning, including proposed features, data platform enhancements, processing capabilities and upcoming milestones

Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews and retrospectives

Work with Solution Architects and Data Architects to understand the scope of upcoming enabler work and sequence the architectural runway that enables new business functionality, data integration and scalable processing solutions

Facilitate regular system demos, ensuring the most critical product capabilities, platform enhancements and data processing outcomes are shown to stakeholders for review and approval

Support the measurement of product success, including adoption, customer insights, data quality, platform performance, processing efficiency and feedback, while continuously identifying future features and enhancements

Provide regular progress updates, manage dependencies, risks and issues, and escalate to the Senior Product Manager and Release Train Engineer where required

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

5+ years' experience as a Technical Product Manager designing and launching high-quality technical products, preferably within enterprise data management, data platforms, data processing solutions or related software products. Airline or aviation industry experience is strongly preferred

Hands-on experience in data engineering, data architecture, enterprise data platforms or data processing solutions is strongly preferred, with the ability to engage credibly on data platform, integration, governance and technical design decisions and align the product roadmap with the enterprise data strategy

Certified Product Manager (CPM), Agile Certified Product Manager (ACPM) or equivalent is desirable

Experience with Agile development methodologies including SAFe, Scrum and Lean Portfolio Management is desirable
