Sheet Metal Grinding Operator

Key Responsibilities

Grind and finish sheet-metal components after cutting, bending, and welding.

Remove sharp edges, burrs, excess material, and welding imperfections.

Smooth and blend welded joints to achieve the required finish.

Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating, painting, or other finishing processes.

Operate angle grinders, bench grinders, sanders, and other appropriate tools.

Select suitable grinding discs, abrasives, and finishing tools for different materials.

Inspect components for surface defects, scratches, uneven grinding, and other imperfections.

Maintain required dimensions and surface quality during grinding operations.

Follow technical drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements.

Maintain grinding tools and equipment in good working condition.

Keep the work area clean and organized.

Follow all company safety procedures and use the required PPE.

Requirements

Previous experience in sheet-metal grinding, fabrication, or metal finishing.

Good knowledge of grinding and deburring techniques.

Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium is an advantage.

Ability to identify surface defects and achieve consistent finishing quality.

Basic understanding of technical drawings and measurements.

Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing environment.

Good attention to detail and ability to meet production targets.

Preferred Experience

2-3 years experience in sheet-metal fabrication, technical furniture, cabinets, consoles, or similar manufacturing environments will be an advantage.

Pay: AED1,200.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
