About the role

We are seeking experienced MIG Welders and ARC (Stick) Welders to join our metal fabrication and assembly team. Whether you specialize in high-efficiency MIG welding or heavy-duty ARC welding, we have immediate openings for skilled tradespeople. In this position, you will execute precise structural and sheet metal welds, interpret technical drawings, and ensure all work meets strict quality and safety standards.

Position Breakdown & Responsibilities

For MIG Welders (GMAW):

Operate semi-automatic MIG welding machinery on structural steel, mild steel, and stainless components.

Set up, calibrate, and adjust wire feed speed, voltage, and shielding gas flow rates.

Execute clean, continuous, and defect-free welds in production and assembly setups.

For ARC Welders (SMAW):

Execute manual Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick) on structural steel, plates, and heavy-gauge metals.

Select correct electrodes, amperages, and polarities based on base metal thickness and joint design.

Perform multi-pass welds across flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.

General Duties (All Applicants):

Read and work directly from fabrication drawings, shop blueprints, and welding symbols.

Prepare joint surfaces by measuring, cutting, beveling, tacking, and grinding materials prior to welding.

Inspect finished welds for proper penetration, strength, and appearance; clean slag and repair defects.

Maintain equipment, torches, stingers, and lead cables in safe working order.

Follow shop safety procedures and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Proven hands-on experience in either MIG welding, ARC (Stick) welding, or both within a shop, construction, or manufacturing environment.

Education: High school diploma, technical diploma, or completion of a recognized trade apprenticeship.

Technical Proficiency: Ability to use angle grinders, plasma cutters, cutting torches, and precision measuring tools.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg), work in high-heat environments, and maneuver comfortably in varied positions.

Certifications: Valid third-party welding credentials or trade certificates are a strong advantage.
