Senior Project/Contracts Manager – Facades, Partitions & Doors (FPD)
About the role
KCC is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Contracts Manager to lead our Facades, Partitions & Doors (FPD) Division.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the profitable delivery of all contracts from order handover through to final account. This is a senior leadership role responsible for operational performance, commercial control, customer satisfaction, health and safety, and developing a high-performing team.
The role will manage a team of three Contracts Managers together with estimators, project support personnel and approximately twelve installation staff, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the FPD Division.
Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
Allocate resources effectively across all live contracts.
Monitor project progress and intervene where necessary to minimise risk.
Ensure smooth handover from estimating through procurement, installation and final account.
Commercial Performance
Take full ownership of the profitability of every contract.
Monitor project margins from tender stage through completion.
Identify commercial risks early and implement corrective actions.
Ensure all variations are identified, valued, agreed and recovered.
Drive continuous improvement in project profitability and productivity.
Oversee final accounts and minimise commercial disputes.
Deliver agreed gross margin and overhead recovery target
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor and develop a team of:
2 Contracts Managers
Estimating and project administration personnel
Approximately 12 installation staff
Set clear objectives and performance expectations.
Conduct regular performance reviews.
Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, retain and develop talented employees.
Client Relationships
Build strong relationships with main contractors, architects, consultants, and clients.
Attend key project meetings.
Resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Promote repeat business and maintain KCC’s reputation for quality and service.
Planning & Procurement
Ensure procurement programmes support project delivery.
Work closely with estimating and purchasing teams.
Review contract documentation before commencement.
Ensure programme milestones are achieved.
Health, Safety & Quality
Promote a strong safety culture across the division.
Ensure full compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Drive quality standards throughout every project.
Ensure all installations comply with relevant regulations and specifications.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Develop standardised project management procedures.
Improve reporting systems and project controls.
Introduce best practice throughout the division.
Support the implementation of new technologies and systems.

Experience Required
Minimum 10 years’ experience managing construction contracts.
Significant experience in facades, partitions, doors, fit-out or specialist subcontracting.
Proven experience leading multiple project teams.
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
Experience managing projects valued from €100k to €5m+.
Excellent knowledge of Irish construction contracts.
Strong financial and commercial acumen.
Experience managing budgets and project profitability.

Compensation
This Other role pays $100k/yr. Within typical range for other roles in Ireland.
