A Day in the Life:

The Senior Manager, Retail Training, Greater China is responsible for owning and driving the end-to-end retail training strategy for the Greater China region. This role partners closely with Retail Leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business priorities into impactful capability-building solutions that enhance sales performance, client experience, and brand consistency.

The role oversees the design, deployment, and evaluation of retail training programs across product knowledge, selling skills, leadership capability, and brand behaviors, while ensuring alignment with global frameworks and cultural relevance for the local market. As a people leader, this role develops a high-performing training team and builds sustainable coaching capability within the retail organization.

Retail Training Strategy & Implementation

• Own and execute the retail training strategy for Greater China in alignment with business priorities and global standards. • Partner with Retail Leadership to deploy training programs including new store openings, seasonal initiatives, sales and service excellence modules. • Ensure consistent and elevated client experience across all retail touchpoints in Greater China.

• Innovate training content and delivery models: develop differentiated training approaches based on distinct customer profiles, consumer behaviors, and operational models across Mainland premium stores, outlet locations, and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan markets to enhance relevance and impact.

• Drive digital and immersive learning: integrate micro-learning, short videos, AI-powered coaching, and other innovative tools to create a blended learning experience that improves engagement and learning effectiveness.

Coaching & Capability Building

• Deliver and oversee hands-on coaching through store visits, observation, feedback, and follow-up training. • Build coaching capability within store and district leadership to ensure sustainable skill transfer. • Support the development of store leaders through structured capability and development plans.

Training Planning & Effectiveness

• Develop mid-term and long-term training roadmaps based on business needs, talent pipeline, and performance gaps. • Track, evaluate, and report on training effectiveness and business impact using data and insights. • Continuously improve training solutions based on feedback, results, and evolving business priorities.

• Define differentiated training priorities and evaluation criteria for premium stores versus outlet channels, ensuring training content aligns with distinct business models, customer journeys, and sales cycles. • Establish a Greater China training coordination mechanism to align content, timing, and resource allocation across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan for core programs such as new product launches, service standards, and leadership development.

Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Buying, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to deliver seasonal product training and key initiatives. • Lead and support strategic projects which include but not limited to Retail Management Trainee programs, Key Opinion Seller initiatives, and digital enablement projects that support retail productivity.

• Facilitate cross-market best practice sharing: organize regular training reviews and experience-sharing forums across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan to drive mutual learning in training methodologies, store management, and high-impact retail practices.

Team Leadership & People Development

• Lead, coach, and develop the retail training team to deliver high-quality, consistent training solutions. • Provide clear direction, performance management, and development planning for direct reports. • Build a strong training culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Budget & Stakeholder Management

• Manage and monitor the retail training budget to ensure effective use of resources. • Act as a trusted business partner to Retail Leadership and key stakeholders, providing regular updates, insights, and recommendations.
