You Are:
The DevOps Engineer will be a part of a software development team working on internal actuarial solution cloud platform.
The opportunity:
Infrastructure & Automation: Works in a collaborative environment to build and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure with automated provisioning and configuration management.
CI/CD Pipeline Management: Designs, develops, tests, deploys, and supports continuous integration and deployment pipelines focusing on industry best practices with a cloud-first emphasis.
System Reliability: Implements timely decisions on complicated infrastructure and deployment problems, ensuring high availability and performance.
Legacy System Support: Supports legacy infrastructure and deployment processes while new cloud-native solutions are being built for launch and adoption by business.
Continuous Improvement: Seeks continuous quality improvements for infrastructure, deployment processes, and system reliability.
Team Development: Mentors and coaches implementation teams on DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies.

What you need:
8+ years of DevOps/Infrastructure experience with demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and enterprise-scale deployments
Cloud Platform Mastery: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS including:
Compute services (EC2), Storage solutions (S3), Networking (VPC, subnets, load balancers, CDN), Lambda and RDS
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform
Version control and state management for infrastructure
Multi-environment deployment strategies Automation & Deployment Technologies
Containerization & Orchestration:
Docker containerization and image optimization
Kubernetes (Optional) cluster management and orchestration
Container registries and security scanning
CI/CD Pipeline Expertise:
Jenkins, GitHub Actions
Pipeline as code and automated testing integration
Deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling updates)
Configuration Management:
Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar automation tools
Server provisioning and configuration drift management
Monitoring & Operations
Observability Stack:
Monitoring tools (Grafana, CloudWatch, Application Insights)
Centralized logging (ELK Stack, Splunk, Azure Monitor)
APM tools and distributed tracing and incident response automation
Security & Compliance:
Infrastructure security best practices
Secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
Compliance frameworks and audit requirements
Network security and access controls
Programming & Scripting Scripting Languages: Advanced proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell for automation and tooling
Application Development Understanding:
Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks
Database technologies and their operational requirements
API design and microservices architecture principles
Core Competencies
Rapid Technology Adoption: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and implement new cloud services, DevOps tools, and emerging technologies
Complex Problem Resolution: Advanced troubleshooting skills drawing upon creativity, experience, and multiple information sources to resolve infrastructure and deployment challenges
Technical Communication: Ability to communicate complex infrastructure concepts clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders
Database Operations: PostGres, Oracle, SQL Server.
Experience with Database performance metrics, environment provisioning, automated DB deployment pipelines
Agile & Collaboration: Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams, supporting continuous delivery practices
Benefits
