IKEA Handyman/Assembler
About the role
STRICTLY EXPERIENCED IKEA ASSEMBLERS ONLY – NO TRAINING PROVIDED
We are currently seeking reliable and detail-oriented IKEA Assemblers to join our growing team.
1. Experience (must meet at least one)
Minimum 1+ years assembling flat-pack furniture professionally, OR
Assembled (wardrobes, beds, cabinets, etc.)
2. Tools & Equipment
Comfortable with wall-anchoring/mounting heavy items (wardrobes, shelving, TVs)
3. Reliability & Logistics
Has own vehicle and valid driver's licence
Can commit to a defined service area
Available for flexible/short-notice bookings
4. Client-Facing Track Record
Minimum review count threshold (e.g. 5+ completed jobs with feedback)
Can provide 2–3 references from past clients
No history of complaints regarding no-shows, damage, or unprofessional conduct
5. Communication & Professionalism
Comfortable using smartphone apps for scheduling/communication
Responds to client messages promptly and professionally
Demonstrates clear communication in their application (pitch/cover note quality)
6. Documentation
Valid ABN (for contractor engagement)
Resume/CV uploaded
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble IKEA furniture including beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, shelving units, and other household items
Follow assembly instructions accurately and efficiently
Provide professional customer service during onsite jobs
Safely use and maintain assembly tools and equipment
Report any damages, missing parts, or concerns to management
