Freelance Videographer & Photographer

seeking an experienced Freelance Videographer and Photographer for a project-based assignment with a client.

We are looking for a creative professional who can independently plan, shoot and edit high-quality photos and videos for social media, digital marketing and brand storytelling.

The successful candidate must have proven experience in videography, photography, video editing, photo editing, short-form video production and social media content creation. You must also own professional camera and production equipment.

This is a freelance, project-based opportunity with the potential for ongoing assignments based on performance and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute professional photography and videography shoots at the venue.

Capture high-quality photos and videos of facilities, activities, events and brand experiences

Create engaging visual content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google Business Profile, websites and digital marketing campaigns

Capture authentic and natural moments that support the brand's storytelling strategy

Shoot short-form vertical videos for Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and TikTok

Edit professional short-form videos, promotional videos and social media content

Edit and retouch photographs, including colour correction and image optimisation

Add appropriate transitions, text, music and other creative elements to video content where required

Produce content in both vertical and horizontal formats

Work from content briefs, shot lists and marketing requirements

Organise and deliver final edited photos and videos within agreed deadlines

Provide raw footage and original files when required

Suggest creative ideas for improving visual content and brand storytelling

Maintain professional standards while working in a nursery and child-focused environment

Follow all client requirements relating to photography permissions, privacy and safeguarding

Required Qualifications and Skills

Proven professional experience as a Videographer, Photographer or Videographer/Photographer

Strong portfolio demonstrating professional photography and videography work

Proven experience creating Instagram Reels, TikTok videos and other short-form social media videos

Strong video editing and photo editing skills

Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or similar professional video editing software

Experience with Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop or similar professional photo editing software

Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, framing and lighting

Ability to independently manage a professional shoot from planning through final delivery

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet agreed deadlines

Good communication skills and ability to work from a creative brief

Reliable, professional and well organised

Equipment Requirements

Candidates must own and be able to use professional production equipment, including:

Professional camera suitable for high-quality photography and videography

Suitable lenses for wide-angle, portrait and detail shots

Camera stabilisation equipment such as a gimbal

Professional lighting equipment where required

Suitable audio equipment for interviews, testimonials or spoken content where required

Equipment capable of producing high-resolution photography and high-quality video content

Ability to shoot content in both vertical and horizontal formats

Preferred Experience

Experience creating content for any of the following industries will be an advantage:

Family-focused businesses

Lifestyle brands

Hospitality or consumer brands

Experience working in a child-focused environment is preferred. The selected freelancer must be comfortable working professionally around children and following all applicable photography consent, privacy and safeguarding requirements.
