A hands-on working manager role - new position, established company

Erath County, Texas (Stephenville / Dublin area) - travel between all dairy facilities required

Full-time, on-site, salaried (FLSA: Exempt)

Reports to: Business Operations Manager

Supervises: Loader operators and laborers assigned to compost and sand recovery activities

Compensation: $40,000–$60,000 entry base per year, depending on experience. Room to grow.

About the Role

This is a newly created position within 360 Ag Management, an established multi-dairy operation. It is a true working manager role: you'll be out in the field doing the work - running equipment, moving material, operating the sand systems - and managing that work at the same time. This is not a desk job.

Your job is to make sure all feedstock, compost, and sand recovery operations across our dairies happen on schedule and to standard. You'll work with the farm manager on compost logistics, and with each dairy manager to put simple routines in place so the compost and sand work fits in smoothly with the milking operation instead of getting in the way.

What You'll Do

Run the Day-to-Day Work (On Schedule, To Standard)

Keep things moving: Make sure feedstock, compost, and sand operations run on schedule across all the dairies, so nothing piles up.

Make good compost: Run the composting process - turning, moisture, and temperature - so the compost meets our quality standard. Keep simple records.

Watch the feedstock: Check incoming material for contamination and fix problems at the source.

Lead your crew: Direct and train the loader operators or laborers assigned to you.

Sand Recovery & Bedding Savings

Run the sand systems: Operate the sand separation equipment every day and keep recovery rates high (goal: 90%+) to cut our bedding costs.

Keep the sand clean: Make sure recovered sand is clean and dry before it goes back to bedding.

Maintain the equipment: Grease it, watch the wear parts, fix small problems before they become big ones, and call in mechanics/vendors for the big jobs.

Work With the Farm & Dairy Managers

Compost logistics: Work with the farm manager on moving, staging, and timing compost.

Fit in with the dairies: Work with each dairy's manager to set up simple routines so the compost and sand work runs alongside milking, feeding, and bedding - not against it.

Safety, Cleanliness & Records

Keep it safe and clean: Keep sites clean, orderly, and safe; follow lockout/tagout and PPE rules and make sure your crew does too.

Stay compliant: Keep compost and feedstock handling in line with TCEQ rules, and keep runoff and spills controlled.

Keep records: Track the basics - tonnage, temperatures, sand volumes, run hours - and give management simple updates.

Sand recovery stays high and bedding costs drop.

Compost consistently meets our quality standard.

Compost and sand work fits smoothly with each dairy.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

Hands-on experience in dairy, farming, or equipment operation (about 1–3 years) - or the aptitude and work ethic to pick it up fast.

Able to operate loaders and skid steers (or learn quickly) and troubleshoot basic equipment like pumps, augers, and screens.

Dependable, organized, and able to keep things running without close supervision.

Comfortable working in the field every day - Texas heat, dust, and odors - and able to lift 50 lbs.

Able to communicate with managers and crew.

Valid driver's license and able to travel between the dairies daily.

Bonus Points

Bilingual (English / Spanish).

A few years of management or supervisory experience.

Composting or sand-separation system experience.

Familiarity with dairy operations.

TCEQ Certified Compost Operator certification (or willingness to obtain it).

CDL (Class A or B).

Compensation

$40,000–$60,000 entry base per year, depending on experience. With room to grow as compost operations.

Working Conditions

Outdoor work at active dairy and compost sites: weather, odors, dust, moving equipment, and biological materials.

Primarily weekday daytime hours; half-day Saturday, some early morning and weekend availability required based on delivery and production schedules.

Physically active work - standing, walking, bending, climbing - and lifting to 50 lbs.

Required PPE at all times; work around lagoons, separation equipment, and heavy machinery.

Daily travel between company facilities.
