A hands-on working manager role - new position, established company

Erath County, Texas (Stephenville / Dublin area) - based on-site at one dairy

Full-time, on-site, salaried (FLSA: Exempt)

Reports to: Dairy Manager

Supervises: Operational and maintenance crew and outside vendors at the assigned dairy - coordinates day to day, expanding to direct supervision as delegated

Compensation: $50,000–$70,000 entry base per year, depending on experience. Room to grow.

About the Role

This is a newly created position within 360 Ag Management, an established multi-dairy operation running six dairies in Erath County, Texas. It's a hands-on leadership role and the operational counterpart to our Site Manager: at each dairy, the Site Manager leads the animal side while the Operations Manager leads the operational side - equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. The two work side by side, both reporting to the Dairy Manager. This is not a desk job.

Your job is to take the day-to-day operational and facility work off the Dairy Manager so they can focus on production, milk quality, and herd performance. You'll keep equipment running, facilities maintained, and the systems behind the dairy - flush, cow-cooling, sand recovery, compost - operating on schedule and to standard.

What You'll Do

Run the Day-to-Day Work (On Schedule, To Standard)

Keep things moving: Keep the operational and facility work across the dairy on schedule so nothing backs up.

Handle utilities & byproducts: Manage utilities, compost, and byproduct handling and logistics.

Run sand recovery & bedding: Keep sand recovery and bedding management on track.

Support feed & forage: Help with feed sampling and inventory, and support harvest and forage season, including covering piles.

Equipment & Facilities

Keep equipment running: Diagnose issues, schedule repairs, and keep critical systems - flush, cow-cooling, and more - running.

Maintain the facility: Keep corrals, infrastructure, and the overall appearance of the dairy in good shape.

Maintain the equipment: Stay on top of preventive maintenance; fix small problems before they become big ones and call in vendors/mechanics for the big jobs.

Work With the Dairy & Site Managers

Coordinate the operation: Work with the Dairy Manager and Site Manager so the operational side runs smoothly alongside the animal side.

Manage vendors & contractors: Coordinate outside vendors and contractors.

Report daily: Keep the Dairy Manager updated with a simple end-of-day rhythm.

Safety, Records & Compliance

Keep it safe and clean: Keep sites clean, orderly, and safe; follow PPE and lockout/tagout rules and make sure the crew does too.

Build SOPs: Build and maintain SOPs and operational protocols.

Keep records: Handle timekeeping and PTO logistics (with HR) and keep basic maintenance and inventory records.

What Success Looks Like

The Dairy Manager is freed up to focus on production, milk quality, and the herd.

Equipment and facilities are well maintained, and unplanned downtime is low.

The operation runs proactively - preventive maintenance instead of firefighting.

SOPs and records are in place and followed.

A well-run crew and a clean safety record.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

A hands-on operator who leads by example.

Mechanical and equipment aptitude, with a willingness to learn and improve.

Strong organizational skills.

A trainable self-starter who earns the trust of the team.

Valid driver's license.

Bilingual (English / Spanish) - strongly preferred.

Bonus Points

Strong operations or maintenance background.

Dairy exposure.

Compensation

$50,000–$70,000 entry base per year, depending on experience. With room to grow as responsibilities.

Working Conditions

Work at an active dairy: weather, dust, odors, moving equipment, and livestock nearby.

Our dairies run 24/7; expect six days a week, with weekend coverage and on-call availability, coordinated with your Dairy Manager.

Physically active, hands-on work - standing, walking, bending, climbing - and lifting to 50 lbs.

Required PPE at all times; work around heavy machinery and dairy systems.

Based on-site at one dairy.
