Department: Revenue Assurance

Employment Type: Full time, permanent

Location: Hybrid - Sandyford, Dublin 18

Salary: c. €55,000 - €85,000, For new hires who meet our core criteria, the typical starting salary is around €55,000-85,000 OTE. Your exact offer will reflect your relevant experience, skill level, and the responsibilities of the role.

Reports to: Head of Revenue Assurance

The Senior Analyst is the analytical backbone of Revenue Assurance across Prepay Power and Yuno Energy - reconciliation, exception detection and quantification of revenue leakage, cost exposure and control gaps arising from meter data, settlement messaging, billing and account lifecycle events. From that baseline, the role owns the shift from one-off investigation to standing, automated detection, worked jointly with the data and technology teams.

Revenue Assurance is a defined function, and this is its first dedicated analytics hire, so the monitoring capability below is greenfield: built, not inherited. Every euro of unbilled consumption or mis-settled network cost is a euro that cannot fund competitive prices for customers who, in the prepayment book, are often the most financially exposed in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconciliation & Exception Detection

Design and maintain reconciliations between market messages (actual and estimated reads, non-settlement estimates, withdrawals, change-of-supply and change-of-legal-entity confirmations) and internal billing and settlement records across both books.

Identify and quantify estimation and settlement discrepancies, separating account-specific anomalies from systemic, profile-class-wide patterns - for example a usage factor diverging materially from consumption later confirmed.

Quantification & Monitoring

Build the analytical case for each finding: reconstruct read and register history, quantify financial scale, and establish whether exposure sits with the customer, network settlement, or both, including where back billing limitation periods cap recovery.

Run and tune the monitoring layer: keep scheduled queries, dashboards and alerts calibrated as tariffs, profiles and system behaviour change, so detection stays sensitive without drowning the team in false positives.

Controls, Reporting & Market Knowledge

Surface and escalate control weaknesses in outbound data interfaces - schema or version mismatches causing silent rejection of supplier-initiated requests - working with technology teams to scope the fix.

Translate findings into quantified, audit-ready reporting for finance, billing operations and executives, and keep current with the market message specifications and regulatory obligations that govern them.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

Essential

5+ years in data analytics, revenue assurance, or billing/settlement analysis, ideally within a similar high-volume operational environment.

Advanced SQL against large relational or warehouse datasets at production scale, with Python or R for reconciliation logic, anomaly detection and automating recurring checks.

Strong reporting and analytics capability, including Power BI or equivalent, with the ability to build and maintain dashboards and operational reporting from source data.

Comfortable working with messy, semi-structured data (XML/EDI feeds, JSON, API payloads) without a pre-built clean dataset, reconciling against systems of record and quantifying the financial impact of discrepancies.

Evidence-first mindset: questions data that looks fine on the surface, separates correlation from causation, and turns reconciliation findings into a quantified, audit-ready narrative for non-specialist and leadership audiences.

Operates effectively amid ambiguity, representing Revenue Assurance credibly with stakeholders.

Desirable

Energy market settlement experience together with the CRU, Single Electricity Market and GDPR obligations around consumption and billing data or equivalent telecoms revenue assurance experience

Statistical methods for outlier and drift detection (distribution comparison, variance decomposition, control charts).

Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline, evidence of current methodology matters more than the certificate.
