About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in architectural metal works, aluminium and glass works, doors, and related façade/fabrication activities. The candidate will be responsible for technical coordination, shop drawings, material selection, fabrication, installation, site execution, quality control, and coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings related to architectural metal, aluminium, glass, and door works.

Prepare and review shop drawings, fabrication drawings, cutting lists, material take-offs, and technical submittals.

Coordinate the fabrication and installation of:

Aluminium and glass doors

Automatic and manual doors

Stainless steel and mild steel doors

Fire-rated doors

Frameless glass doors and partitions

Aluminium windows and curtain wall systems

Glass façades and glazing works

Handrails, balustrades, canopies, louvers, and architectural metal works

Stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel fabrication works

Verify dimensions and site conditions before fabrication and installation.

Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and site teams to resolve technical issues.

Prepare BOQs, material quantities, technical specifications, and material requests.

Review material specifications for aluminium profiles, glass, stainless steel, mild steel, hardware, accessories, sealants, and fixing systems.

Ensure fabrication activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Monitor installation works and ensure correct alignment, levels, dimensions, finishing, and workmanship.

Coordinate with production/fabrication teams to ensure materials are manufactured according to approved drawings.

Conduct site inspections and identify technical or installation issues.

Prepare method statements, inspection requests, technical reports, and project documentation.

Coordinate with QA/QC teams for material inspections and completed-work inspections.

Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, safety regulations, and applicable standards.

Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, and installation progress.

Attend technical and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Support estimation and procurement teams with technical clarifications and material requirements.

Manage project variations and identify additional works outside the original scope.

Ensure timely completion of works while maintaining required quality standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in architectural metal, aluminium, glass, doors, façade, or fabrication projects.

Strong knowledge of aluminium, glass, stainless steel, mild steel, and architectural hardware systems.

Good understanding of fabrication and installation techniques.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Experience with AutoCAD is required.

Knowledge of MS Office and project documentation.

Familiarity with BOQ preparation, material take-off, and technical submittals.

Good knowledge of UAE construction/site practices is preferred.

UAE driving licence will be an advantage.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
