Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsite

Position Overview
BizTech Fusion is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong software development fundamentals and experience working with AWS, cloud-native applications, CI/CD, and modern development practices.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable developing production-quality software, writing automated tests, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experience with AI-assisted development tools and federal IT environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Implement user stories, features, and software components on a cloud-native AWS stack.
Develop clean, maintainable, and production-ready code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design/refinement sessions.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and development automation.
Utilize AI-assisted software development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
Apply secure coding practices and support application security requirements.
Support accessibility requirements, including applicable Section 508 considerations.
Collaborate with developers, architects, QA engineers, and other technical stakeholders.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, refinement, and continuous improvement activities.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation as needed.
Required Qualifications
6+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong experience with modern programming languages and development frameworks.
Experience with Git or other modern version control systems.
Working knowledge of AWS and cloud-native development concepts.
Familiarity with CI/CD and software development automation.
Experience writing unit and integration tests.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to prioritize work, take initiative, and work independently.
Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced development environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and accept/provide constructive feedback.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to satisfy required background investigation and clearance requirements.
Required Certification
AWS Certification is mandatory.
A copy of the AWS certification must be provided along with the candidate's submission details.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS certification and/or strong hands-on AWS experience.
Experience working in Federal IT environments.
Experience with cloud-native application development.
Experience with modern CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tools such as AI coding assistants, code-generation tools, automated testing tools, or AI-powered development platforms.
Experience with secure software development practices.
Familiarity with Section 508/accessibility requirements.
Important Candidate Requirements
6+ years of software development experience.
AWS certification is mandatory – certification copy required with submission.
U.S. Citizen only.
Must be available to work 2–3 days per week onsite in Reston, VA or Washington, D.C.
Candidates should demonstrate hands-on software development experience, not solely DevOps, infrastructure, or support experience.
