Your Job

Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard, following agreed recipes, portion controls and presentation guidelines.

Take direction from the kitchen management team and support the monitoring of food quality, consistency and hygiene standards.

Help ensure your section is fully prepared, organised and ready for service.

Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment throughout each shift.

Follow HACCP procedures and all food safety, allergen and hygiene regulations at all times.

Support your fellow kitchen team members and work collaboratively during preparation and busy service periods.

Help to minimise food waste by following correct storage, stock rotation and portion-control procedures.

Report any stock shortages, equipment issues or food-quality concerns to the Head Chef or Sous Chef promptly.

What You’ll Need

Previous experience working in a hotel kitchen, restaurant or a similar fast-paced hospitality environment.

A genuine passion for food and pride in producing high-quality dishes.

A good understanding of HACCP procedures, food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.

The ability to remain calm, organised and efficient while working under pressure.

A positive, reliable and professional approach to work.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

A willingness to learn, develop and take direction from senior members of the kitchen team.

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, as required.
