Background Verification (BGV) Intern / Trainee Job Overview

We are looking for a background verification intern / trainee to join our background verification team. The candidate will receive hands-on training in the end-to-end BGV process, including employment verification, education verification, document validation, candidate follow-ups, case tracking, and report preparation.

This role is ideal for freshers or graduates who are interested in building a career in background verification, HR operations, recruitment operations, or compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the team in handling end-to-end Background Verification (BGV) cases.

Perform employment and education verification as per client requirements and process guidelines.

Contact previous employers, educational institutions, and verification sources through phone and email.

Collect and validate required documents and information from candidates.

Follow up with candidates and verification sources for pending documents or responses.

Analyze the information received and identify discrepancies or missing details.

Update case status, verification results, and follow-up details in the internal system/MIS.

Prepare accurate verification reports based on the information received.

Ensure assigned cases are completed within defined turnaround time (TAT).

Maintain proper documentation and records for all assigned cases.

Escalate discrepancies, exceptions, or difficult cases to the concerned team members.

Maintain strict confidentiality and data privacy while handling candidate information.

Coordinate with internal teams and clients whenever required.

Perform other operational activities related to the BGV process as assigned.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Any graduate / undergraduate pursuing their degree.

Freshers are welcome to apply.

Candidates interested in HR operations, background verification, recruitment operations, or compliance are preferred.

Good communication skills in English.

Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Pay: ₹8,316.87 - ₹15,000.00 per month
