Job Title: Sr Software Engineer – SQL

Experience: 10+ Years

Location: Hyderabad, Work from Office

Working Hours: 12.00 PM to 9.00 PM

We are seeking a seasoned Senior SQL / SSIS Developer to drive our data engineering, integration, and architecture strategies. In this expert-level role, you will act as a core subject matter expert in relational database design, complex data modeling, and high-performance ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipeline development. You will design scalable data warehousing solutions, lead critical performance tuning initiatives, and mentor junior database engineers.

Database Development & Architecture

Lead the logical and physical architectural design of large-scale database schemas.

Establish, enforce, and maintain global SQL coding standards and naming conventions across the organization.

Author complex, bulletproof Transact-SQL (T-SQL) constructs, including advanced stored procedures, user-defined functions, triggers, and dynamic SQL.

ETL & SSIS Pipeline Engineering

Architect, test, and deploy enterprise-level SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages.

Handle end-to-end data ingestion, cleansing, and multi-source transformation.

Build intelligent error-handling, logging, alerts, and transactional checkpoints into ETL packages.

Automate and coordinate complex workflow scheduling using tools like SQL Server Agent or enterprise schedulers.

Performance Optimization & Operations

Conduct deep-dive query performance tuning using SQL Profiler, execution plans, and index analysis.

Troubleshoot complex runtime bottlenecks, deadlocks, and resource contention issues in production systems.

Direct seamless schema migrations, database upgrades, and high-availability disaster recovery layouts

Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in production SQL development and RDBMS architecture.

10+ years of specialized experience building advanced enterprise data pipelines using MS SQL Server and SSIS.

Technical Skill Set

Databases: Expert-level mastery of Microsoft SQL Server (versions 2016 through recent enterprise editions).

Languages: Deep proficiency in T-SQL (advanced window functions, CTEs, structural optimization).

ETL Frameworks: Advanced SSIS architecture (custom script components, performance tuning data flows).

System Design: Firm grasp of fundamental ACID properties, concurrency controls, and transaction isolation levels.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Hands-on experience building enterprise analytics reports or dashboards using SSRS or Power BI.

Foundational experience with cloud data ecosystems such as Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL) or AWS.

Exposure to modern programming or scripting tools like Python, C#.NET, or PowerShell for data automation tasks.

Experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks.
