Experienced Carpenter / Joinery Fitter – Dublin

Location: Dublin / Leinster – Site Based

Salary: €48,000–€55,000 per year, depending on experience

O’Connor Woodwork is a specialist manufacturer and installer of high-quality bespoke joinery and fitted furniture.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of commercial projects, we are looking for an experienced Carpenter / Joinery Fitter to join our site team, working primarily across Dublin and the wider Leinster region.

This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to an experienced carpenter or joinery fitter who takes pride in delivering a high standard of finish and is confident working from technical drawings.

The Role

You will be responsible for the installation and finishing of bespoke joinery manufactured by our workshop.

Your responsibilities will include:

Installing fitted furniture and specialist joinery to a high standard

Reading and working accurately from shop drawings and specifications

Ensuring installations are completed in line with project requirements

Identifying and reporting snags, defects or site issues

Liaising with our workshop and project teams to resolve installation issues

Coordinating with other trades and site personnel

Supervising other fitters or subcontractors on relevant projects

Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and within agreed project deadlines

Maintaining O’Connor Woodwork’s high standards across all installations

Our Projects

You will work across a variety of commercial projects, including:

Office fit-outs

Schools and educational facilities

Primary Care Centres and healthcare projects

IPS panelling and cubicles

Bespoke fitted furniture

Commercial and specialist joinery installations

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

4+ years’ relevant experience in carpentry, fitted furniture, joinery or a similar role

Strong experience fitting bespoke or commercial joinery

Ability to confidently read and work from shop drawings

Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship

Good problem-solving skills on site

Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team

Good communication and organisational skills

Strong understanding of site health and safety

Full driving licence and reliable transport

Previous experience supervising fitters or subcontractors would be an advantage.
