What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Python Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting business-critical applications to be part of the project of the client from the banking sector.

Main tasks and accountabilities will be:

Act as the primary point of contact for an application which manages risk and control data, executes controls, and reports results.

Plan and manage throughout the application lifecycle, bridging the gap between business stakeholders, development teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.

Ensure that applications meet business requirements, comply with organizational standards, and deliver reliable services to end users.

Ensure that all environments follow internal security guidelines, audit requirements, and industry standards.

Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services.

Take end-to-end ownership of assigned applications.

Manage application lifecycle, including enhancements, upgrades, and decommissioning.

Ensure application availability, performance, security, and compliance.

Analyse and resolve incidents, problems, and root causes.

What UST expects from you?

Strong experience with Linux-based application operations and deployment.

Strong Python development skills with Django.

Experience with SQL and enterprise databases (Oracle and Trino preferred).

Experience with background processing and caching technologies such as Celery and Redis.

Web application development experience using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD workflows.

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, especially in multi-system environments.

Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with development, QA, and business teams.

Excellent communication skills for coordinating environment readiness, issues, and dependencies.

Ability to handle multiple environments and parallel testing cycles efficiently.

Nice to have

NGINX/Gunicorn administration.

REST API design and system integrations.

Authentication and authorization experience (SSO, RBAC).
