About the role
Responsibilities:
Perform steel and metal fabrication as per drawings and specifications.
Read and understand fabrication/shop drawings, dimensions and layouts.
Carry out marking, cutting, grinding, drilling, bending and assembly.
Fabricate beams, columns, frames, supports, platforms, stairs, handrails and other steel structures.
Perform proper fit-up, alignment and dimensional checking before welding.
Work closely with fitters, welders and the fabrication foreman.
Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely.
Ensure work meets required quality and dimensional standards.
Maintain good housekeeping and follow HSE procedures.
Requirements:
2–3+ years of experience in steel/metal fabrication.
Experience in structural steel fabrication preferred.
Ability to read and understand fabrication/shop drawings.
Knowledge of cutting, grinding, drilling, fit-up and assembly.
Experience with PEB, warehouses, platforms, handrails, stairs and steel structures is an advantage.
UAE/GCC experience preferred.
